Biography

Kurt Thorn received his Bachelor's degree in chemistry from Princeton University, and his Ph.D. in Biophysics from UCSF. His graduate work was done in the laboratory of Dr. Ron Vale, studying kinesin processivity with single molecule assays.

He then worked at Harvard as a Fellow in the Center for Gen! omics Research. Dr. Thorn is currently and Adjunct Assistant Professor at UCSF and director of the Nikon Imaging Center.
